Citi are looking to hire an origination/salesperson for an associate level position, responsible for assisting clients in stake management and financing against listed equity and private equity stakes. This is an opportunity to join a team with record year on year revenue growth and top 2 global ranking covering EMEA clients.
By joining Citi’s Structured Equity Solutions (SES) business, you will be a key member of the desk focused on the primarily private side clients which include corporates, sponsors, sovereign wealth funds and UHNW family offices, with their listed equity and private equity positions. The focus of your role will be structuring equity solutions for Citi’s extensive client franchise as well as refining and implementing the sales and marketing strategy to further develop Citi’s client footprint through a clear marketing plan with defined priorities, market penetration and revenue goals.
Given the connection with Banking clients and equity capital markets, the role could be particularly of interest to candidates with Investment Banking or ECM experience seeking a more Markets facing role, as well as Markets employees seeking a more solutions / project-based role
What you will do will be varied day to day, but the key drivers for the role are:
Origination role for equities / private equity stake building, financing and monetisation transactions
Leverage your contact network, understand client needs, introduce the Citi offering, convince clients to adopt it and increase client satisfaction and Citi revenue
Structuring and execution of transactions, working closely with various internal stakeholders (trading, legal, credit and risk etc.)
Forge a relationship with Citi Banking and Citi Wealth to leverage Citi's franchise and source relevant buying and selling opportunities for clients
Adhere to all policies and procedures as communicated to you
What we will need from you:
To be considered for this role, you will have ideally worked within a solutions team in Markets or as part of Investment Banking or ECM.
Spanish and Arabic preferred, but not required
Proven interpersonal, quantitative and problem-solving skills
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise communication, both written and verbal
