Team / division overview
The European Alternatives Research & Strategy Team provides support across the Alternatives platform (including Real Estate and Infrastructure) and performs an important role in the identification of new market trends, and in the underwriting of individual asset and portfolio transactions
Role Details:
As an Alternatives Research Analyst you will (be):
Supporting research efforts in the Infrastructure asset class through conducting market analysis, forecasting and performance benchmarking through the development and maintenance of advanced quantitative tools
Supporting transaction underwriting and portfolio construction initiatives
Monitoring of the Infrastructure market and supporting senior management in the formation and implementation of House Views and the translation of these into investment strategies and ongoing investor reporting and communications
Analysing current market conditions to support both transaction review and investment committee processes
Produce and contribute to investment strategy reports and thought leadership for both internal and external publications and articulating these views to clients and the wider market
We are looking for:
Sound understanding of research methods associated to Alternatives research and strategy with a preference for Infrastructure as an investment asset class
Strong quantitative research experience with strong knowledge of Python or other statistical software tools
Ability to engage with investment professionals in a concise and clear manner around topics such as portfolio construction, return forecasting and performance benchmarking
Educated to Bachelor’s degree level within a related financial subject or with relevant professional experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team environment

DWS’ Hybrid Working model in the UK is designed to find the right balance between in-person collaboration and engagement in the office, which is core to our working culture, and working from home. Employees who wish to sign-up to our Hybrid Working model are required to work in the office two days a week, and given the flexibility to work from home for the remaining three.
