Overview

We’re looking to hire a Director within Infrastructure and Energy (I&E) Financing to work in the renewables pod. I&E is Deutsche Bank’s infrastructure and energy principal financing team and provides bespoke financing from Deutsche Bank’s balance sheet to projects and sponsors in the infrastructure and energy sectors. The team manages a principal loan book of around $3bn. Our renewables financing pod encompasses lending to the renewable power sector (Solar, wind, storage, etc.). We lend to companies and projects in development, through construction and operations, and at various levels within the credit stack.

What You’ll Do

• Deal syndication and risk management of deals on an ongoing bais as well as execute trades in line with our trading strategies

• Be a multifaceted member of the team in a role that combines being a trader, underwriter, manager, and credit analyst

• Use your strong quantitative abilities, communication skills, and negotiation prowess to engage with external clients and develop relationships with internal risk and control functions

• Manage a full range of underwriting work streams

How You’ll Lead

• Supervising origination, structuring and execution
• External representation of the Deutsche Bank with clients, other industry participants and on expert industry panels at conferences
• Ability to develop junior resources

Skills You’ll Need

• Extensive experience in a renewable financing role across majority of the power markets in the US, either in a trading, underwriting, or origination position

• Risk management experience and a strong risk management mindset

• Client relationships in the renewable sector are a strong positive

• Superior quantitative and communication skills

Skills That Will Help You Excel

• Strong interpersonal skills for developing new client relationships and communicating with various Deutsche Bank teams in a fast-paced environment; be a team player - anticipating and solving problems for the group

• Have a consistent sense of urgency around doing your best – day in and day out

• Strong communication skills to persuade investors to purchase Deutsche Bank services; detail oriented and driven to succeed in a complex, fast moving environment; ability to multi-task, and work in a fast-paced, time sensitive work environment

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190K - $300K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
