Overview

Our United States (US) Rates Trading team are looking to hire a Director level trader for US dollar (USD) denominated rates cash products based in New York. In the role, you will be responsible for market-making US Agency Mortgage-backed Securities (MBS) products as part of our broader franchise. You will also be responsible for coordinating with our local and global Sales & Trading team(s) to service clients across the globe.

What You’ll Do

  • Able to understand and interpret market trends and identify, communicate, and market trade ideas

  • Able to work in a high paced environment under pressure

  • Experienced with market-making, preferably in USD Rates instruments and specifically the USD MBS

How You’ll Lead

  • Lead as an excellent communicator (verbal and written) with strong interpersonal skills

  • Commercial focus, ability to take initiatives, and skills to solve complex business problems

  • Ability to articulate ideas confidently and concisely

Skills You’ll Need

  • A deep understanding of the asset class

  • A proven track-record in revenue generation

  • A proven track-record in sustaining/generating high quality market share

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Proven risk management skills & strong quantitative skills

  • A deep understanding of capital and regulatory matters in Over the Counter (cash / derivatives) and Listed (futures) products

  • Strong understanding of market structure and capable of building relationships with participants and stakeholders (clients, exchanges, regulators, etc)

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $190K to $300K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
