The Debt Capital Market (DCM) Syndicate team are product specialists responsible for winning debt capital market business and providing expertise to frequent and prospective issuers in partnership with Origination, Rates Trading and the Institutional Client Group. Typical clients include public sector entities, most notably sovereigns, multilateral development banks and agencies.
The DCM Supranational, Sovereign & Agency (SSA) Syndicate team is seeking a Vice President to work within the team in the syndication of new issue debt products and risk management offerings in the SSA sector. You will take ownership for a number of clients in the team’s portfolio. You will work closely with senior syndicate/coverage professionals to support their ongoing coverage of key franchise clients and currencies.

Your key responsibilities
- Responsibility for origination of primary market debt transactions and providing debt capital markets expertise to Supranational, Sovereign and Agency clients
- Interaction with all areas of Deutsche Bank, including Debt Syndicate, Rates Trading, in addition to infrastructure areas including legal and compliance
- Act as the lead on a number of client relationships and the role is likely to require travel including overseas
Your skills and experience
- Exceptional skills using Bloomberg, Excel and conventional DCM market data sources to efficiently analyse information and prepare high quality content for issuers
- Ability and willingness to work as an integral team member, managing time efficiently, in order to work simultaneously on a wide array of different projects, each of which will move at a different pace
- Confidence in questioning the status quo and existing processes, with ability to design and implement high quality solutions and idea generation, prior experience with similar clients would be highly additive
- Strong awareness of the macro-environment and political developments, prior experience advising public sector clients on fundraising vital
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, to form strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Established network of DCM and Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) professionals across the Investment Bank would be a significant asset
- Ability to identify products which are relevant for your client and to articulate the implications and strategic considerations in a clear and concise matter
