Structured Credit Trading (SCT) is part of Credit Solutions within Global Credit Trading. It is a market leading franchise with global operations centered on teams in London and Frankfurt.

SCT are market makers in illiquid corporate risk across Europe (EU) and the United States (US) which include loans, bonds, SSD, structured notes and non-vanilla credit default swap (CDS) products.

The desk also works with distributors on credit products both in primary and secondary and it also provides hedging activity to third party banks for issuance of such products.

The desk also works closely with private placement desk to originate and place corporate bonds with added overlays as per real money needs.

You will join the desk to take on trading responsibilities in SCT. You will have direct contact with the sales force, promote the franchise, run positions and identify value through education in the various products, systems and market practice.

Your key responsibilities

  • Pricing, trading and risk managing an Illiquid securities book
  • Taking responsibility for providing liquidity and recycling risk profitably
  • Taking responsibility for developing and enhancing the Structured Credit Trading franchise
  • Analysing market structure and the opportunities and threats there-in
  • Managing financial risk and non-financial risks
  • Interacting with clients, sales and internal counterparties in other trading, coverage and structuring functions to increase market transparency and to generate new business

Your skills and experience

  • Experience as a Director level Illiquids Trader
  • Previous experience in illiquid cash bond trading preferred
  • Knowledge/ understanding of credit, credit liquidity, credit pricing and the European Client Base
  • Being detail oriented, naturally inquisitive, and consistently striving for self-education
  • Displaying innovation as part of a market leading team with the end goal of developing the business/franchise
