The Chief Risk Office function has Group-wide responsibility for the management and control of all credit, market, operational, enterprise and liquidity risks and has the responsibility of continual development of methods for risk measurement, frameworks and creating a bank wide strong risk culture. You will work within the Credit Risk Management (CRM) Leverage Finance Team as a Credit Officer. Credit Risk Management (CRM) is a key ‘2nd Line of Defense’ function within the broader Risk Division at Deutsche Bank covering the Corporate & Investment Banks (CB & IB).

Your key responsibilities
Analyse new LF transactions including LBOs, M&A financing, Leveraged Loan participations, FX / IR / commodity derivatives, transaction banking, etc., including determining credit appetite and ratings.
Provide credit approvals within delegated individual credit authority, and where required present to Underwriting Committee for larger transactions.
Oversee ongoing monitoring, including identification of emerging risks / trends across the portfolio, determination of deterioration triggers and impairments, and provide senior credit oversight of a portfolio of credits across a variety of industries.
Support team development and processes, including supporting the development of junior credit officers.
Participation in diverse internal projects that improve efficiency and help DB achieve key strategic objectives.
Regulatory and audit interactions regarding your portfolio of transactions/ credit exposures.
Your skills and experience
Credit analysis experience, part in non-investment grade credit lending.
Solid analytical skills, including Leveraged Loan and High Yield structuring, financial modelling / forecasting, and understanding of derivative structures.
Strong understanding of leveraged finance credit, market and regulatory standards.
Ability to work under time pressure and focus on multiple transactions at once.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Business line structuring and / or workout experience a plus but not required.
