Production Assurance Senior Engineer
Deutsche Bank
Job Description:
Job Title Production Assurance Senior Engineer
Location Birmingham
Corporate Title Assistant Vice President
The Production Assurance function sits within Operations Management, providing governance for the detection of unauthorised application change within the Production environment.
The function is responsible for the Lookback process, which is a manually operated control that seeks to confirm that randomly selected application deployable files in production were deployed there under an authorised db-Unity Change Request ticket.
You will be responsible for supporting the vendor team with the Lookback reviews where required and participating in calls with application teams to understand the application landscape and technology platform(s). Where potentially unauthorized change has been detected, you will coordinate amongst IT stakeholders to understand and document what led to the deployment of the application change, review and assess evidence to determine the risk and agree remediation activities.
In response to an external audit finding, the function will be responsible for implementing a File Integrity Monitoring solution to detect unauthorized application change in production replacing the manual Lookback control.
You will work with engineering teams to ensure requirements are fully understood and contribute to the design and implementation of an operations and governance model to manage the onboarding of applications to the detective solution and the management of alerts.
You will be expected to contribute to the documentation detailing what’s monitored and why, plus any exclusions, and how changes are reviewed for audit purposes.
