You will join the Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEEMEA) Sovereign and Secured Financing team, a key component of our Global Emerging Markets group, as a highly motivated and quantitative-oriented Analyst Trader contributing to our continued success.

We are a market leader in structured lending among top international banks, focusing on financing transactions across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Our clients include central governments, government-owned companies, and financial institutions. We utilise a diverse range of risk distribution instruments, including credit insurance, financial guarantees, credit default swaps, and bonds, alongside derivatives such as interest rate and foreign exchange (FX) swaps.

You will play a vital role in supporting the trading team and contributing to the profitable growth of our business

Your key responsibilities

  • Developing a deep understanding of a broad range of financial products, including bonds, loans, interest rate and cross-currency swaps, and credit default swaps
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of the Bank's systems, including pricing libraries, trading platforms, and risk and settlement systems
  • Creating and managing daily Profit & Loss (P&L) reports that track attribution to different risks, revenue allocation per financing structure, and consolidated information across various trading books
  • Preparing and analysing risk reports to ensure accurate monitoring of key risks within the trading books and executing appropriate hedges to maintain risk within acceptable levels
  • Assessing daily funding requirements across all books and currencies and executing appropriate funding trades
  • Collaborating with operational teams to monitor payments, both incoming and outgoing, ensuring timely and accurate execution

Your skills and experience

  • Educated to bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent qualification/work experience in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Economics or similar field
  • Demonstrated experience working with numbers and performing quick arithmetic calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Prior coding experience would be a plus
  • Strong analytical/ problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and articulation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating and adapting to diverse working environments
