Overview
The Market Conduct Office (MCO) is an opportunity to embed market conduct in business decisions, and to improve the efficiency, sustainability, and transparency of Market Conduct controls management. Residing within the Front Office, reporting up into the Head of the IB, and will focus on providing governance and oversight for all of Deutsche Bank activities related to market conduct.
MCO will promote resiliency and sustainability of the Market Conduct control environment and mitigate risks by overseeing and supporting the Firm’s risk management, internal controls, governance, and culture relating to market conduct in order to foster trust and confidence in Deutsche Bank’s provision of financial services.
All activities needed to support the market conduct capabilities are currently being performed within Deutsche Bank. New MCO activities either complement existing processes or provide additional central oversight.

What You’ll Do
- Work closely with and direct the data sourcing team members to build a program to source market conduct data from various functions within the organization
- Create Key Risk Indicators and models to identify areas of risk (such as through alerts raised, control gaps, control effectiveness ratings), which will be used to inform the Bank on how to address these emerging risks, including input into assurance testing by 1LoD, 2LoD and 3LoD
- Identify opportunities for control automation and for the monitoring of operational checks on controls
- Identify escalations needed to senior management
- Develop a strong risk methodology and culture
How You’ll Lead
- Work closely with and direct the data sourcing team to aggregate information to be used in Management Information for governance
- Input into the design and ongoing use of a market conduct dashboard
- Input into the creation of an alert case management tool
Skills You’ll Need
- Comprehensive understanding of financial markets/products
- Demonstrable experience of working within building a Front Office Supervision/Control function
Skills That Will Help You Excel
- Demonstrable experience of taking responsibility for a delivery by adding structure and driving to completion
- Experience of communicating with senior business management in person, within a large forum, and through email
- Proven track record of successfully working within diverse, high performing teams and departments both locally and remotely
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $180K to $275K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
