Team/Division Overview:

The CFO organization is responsible for Planning & Performance analysis, legal entity reporting, financial control and analytics, capital and risk metric reporting. The CFO organization is also involved in strategic reviews, product profitability analyses and cost investigation.

DWS is interviewing candidates for a Finance Business Advisory Manager within the CFO organization supporting the Liquid Investments business unit in the Americas, working closely will colleagues across the globe.

The Finance Business Advisory team is accountable for providing financial advice, insight and guidance as it relates to the financial wellbeing of the supported business, in conjunction with DWS’s objectives. The Liquid Investments business unit consists of Active and Passively Managed ETFs, Mutual Funds, and institutional separately managed accounts.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Revenues and expenses for Americas Liquid Investments Division

  • Oversee monthly revenue close process, including both flash and actual reported results

  • Conduct validation and control reviews, monitor cost close and transfer pricing bookings

  • Provide oversight of the offshore team responsible for booking accounting entries. Ensure compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards.

  • Manage monthly Balance Sheet Substantiation Review process

  • Support quarterly and annual reporting for Mutual Fund and ETF Boards

  • Assist in preparation of monthly revenue and expense forecast for presentation to Senior Management

  • Liaise with external auditors

  • Undertake a wide range of analyses using, but not limited to, financial data to derive meaningful insights improving DWS’, regional or divisional profitability

  • Oversee Finance sub-ledger transformation project

  • Identity and implement process improvements

Your Skills & Experience:

  • 2-5 relevant years of experience working within a role that requires analyses at a micro and macro level

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • Experience with P&L production and P&L driver analyses, preferably in the Asset Management industry

  • Strong understanding of financial data analysis and business performance metrics

  • Effective storyboarding skills and ability to crystallize problems and summarize key issues and challenges

  • Must be detail-oriented and have an analytical mindset with the ability to deliver key insights

  • Positive attitude and a team player

  • Pro-active and ability to work independently

The salary range for this position in New York is $92,000 to $136,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
