You will join the BLAFC team. responsible for providing day-to-day advisory support to the Private Bank (PB) division within the United Kingdom and Ireland (UKI) region. The BLAFC team responds to referrals or escalations submitted by the business and advises on AFC risk-mitigation and controls, to ensure compliance with applicable AFC policies and procedures.

Your key responsibilities

  • Liaison with PB business line representatives to provide advice and support on financial crime risks on a day-to-day basis
  • Preparation of management information and metrics for inclusion within key first/second line fora, as well as supporting the preparation of external regulatory reports
  • Review and assessment of regulatory or policy change and the resulting impact on the PB business
  • Completing reviews and financial crime risk assessments relating to the onboarding of new clients and during periodic Know Your Client (KYC) reviews
  • Engagement with first/second line of defence colleagues, including AFC, Compliance, Audit and Legal
  • Supporting internal/external reviews, audits and examinations related to AFC risk, including assisting with the remediation of any resulting findings. Creation of AFC training materials and delivery of AFC training as necessary

Your skills and experience

  • Experience within financial services, with a proven track record of delivery within the AFC context.
  • Knowledge of typical banking products and services within wealth management/private banking
  • Solid understanding of UK AFC regulations, as well as industry guidance as published by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and the UK Joint Money Laundering Steering Group
  • Diligent and accustomed to working in a time-pressured environment
  • Proficient in Excel/Word/PowerPoint
