You will be part of the Global BFA team, which operates across London, New York, Frankfurt, India, and Manila. The BFA team sits within the broader Reporting domain and is responsible for delivering Deutsche Bank’s regulatory reporting solutions from a technology perspective. The team covers all aspects of Business Functional Analysis as well as deep data analytics, working closely with Finance teams to implement and reflect changes within the regulatory reporting space.
We are looking for a Business Functional Analyst to join our dynamic Global Finance – Reporting Domain team, predominantly working on Regional Regulatory Reporting with a focus on Strategic Data Onboarding and Strategic Data Initiatives.
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end analysis, which includes aligning newly sourced data, performing checks throughout various processing stages, and conducting in-depth data analysis. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury, and Front Office systems, analysing their requirements and translating them into actionable business processes. Additionally, you will work closely with IT teams to define technical specifications and ensure the seamless integration and implementation of solutions within the broader system architecture.
To fulfil this role, you will need a deep understanding of both the banking products, business content, and calculation/reporting requirements, as well as their conceptual and technical representation. This includes expertise in strategic data sourcing, data modelling, and aligning them within the corresponding technical reporting and calculation framework

Your key responsibilities
- Perform high-volume, content-driven data analytics to support regulatory reporting requirements
- Conduct business impact analysis and reverse engineering analysis of existing systems and data flows
- Identify and analyse data trends to drive insights and improvements
- Define, document, and manage business and technical requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
- Proactively manage the investigation and resolution of data issues impacting regulatory reporting metrics
- Analyse root causes and liaise with business teams to drive strategic, long-term fixes
Your skills and experience
- Analytical skills with hands-on experience in high-volume data analysis (Essential)
- Experience of IT analytics tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, and related data processing frameworks (Essential)
- Experience with Axiom regulatory reporting platforms
- Understanding of Risk Control, Accounting, Treasury, and/or Finance functions
- Appreciation of Investment Banking products and core regulatory metrics such as RWA, Leverage Ratio, and Capital Adequacy
- Familiarity with front-to-back system architecture and data flow across banking operations
