The Fixed Income and Currency (FIC) Central Business control Unit (BCU) is a global function of the 1LoD responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring the non-financial risk framework (NFR). The team interfaces between the 2nd and 3rd Line of Defence, Divisional Control Office (DCO) Functions and to the Regulators for 1LoD concerns. The function runs a complex change agenda in addition to meeting regulatory governance and reporting.
You will work alongside Business Management and BCU functions. The FIC division spans multiple products and markets including Global Foreign Exchange, Rates, Global Emerging Markets, Counterparty Portfolio Management, Global Credit and Cross Product Structuring.

Your key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing Risk Appetite reporting for the FIC franchise liaising with owners of key bank-wide and divisional programs
- Partner with the 1st and 2nd line teams to identify, assess, monitor and report risks across business lines
- Deliver management information and reporting to support FIC BCU and Senior Management drive decision making and escalation of risks impacting FIC
- Enhance existing processes and engage with Group Audit, Compliance, Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) and other DCOs to understand the impact of Findings & risk assessments on the FIC Risk Profile
- Support oversight of the United States and Global Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) process across FIC Assessment Units and identification of emerging risks
- Support the reporting and oversight of internal events impacting FIC including facilitating lessons learned and read across of internal events across the FIC franchise
Your skills and experience
- Experience in Risk and Controls Assessment, Operational Risk Management, Audit, Controls Testing or Assurance, ideally in the Investment Banking domain
- Knowledge of non-financial risk framework processes and requirements including risk assessment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to deal with senior management, cross-division and cross-cultural teams
- High degree of personal initiative, attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure
- Strong ability to present findings and implementation plans at senior management meetings
- Ability to work within a project team, build and implement plans and effectively liaise with all supporting functions to plan and coordinate across multiple stakeholders
