You will play a key role in the transformation of Rates and Credit Fixed Income technology landscape. As part of our multi-year platform modernisation project, you will be responsible for building a suite of new, real-time, high-performance applications supporting various trading workflows.
You will be involved in architecting solutions across the stack, encouraging best practices and working closely with Business stakeholders to build a maintainable, operationally efficient and scalable platform to last the next decade.

Your key responsibilities
- Develop a suite of modern, real-time, high-performance micro-services to support core rates and credit trading workflows
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to design and deliver end-to-end solutions
- Engage directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand workflows and rapidly deliver impactful features that improve business efficiency
- Promote best practices in distributed systems architecture, testing, CI/CD and code quality. Participate in code reviews to ensure high engineering standards across the team
- Play an important role in the modernization of the fixed income tech stack by influencing platform direction, and driving adoption of modern tooling and frameworks
Your skills and experience
- Expertise in Java Development– proven experience building complex, high-performance applications using modern Java (experience with Kotlin is a bonus), with understanding of concurrency, memory management and reactive programming models
- Distributed Systems and Event-Driven Architecture – Strong understanding of distributed system design principles, event-driven architectures, and technologies such as Solace, Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Integration, API Design and Databases – Solid experience in designing, building and deploying RESTful and event-driven APIs with good knowledge of SQL and relational database design, and familiarity in deploying services using containerization and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes in a production environment
- Technical Leadership and Best Practices – Track record of promoting engineering excellence through test automation, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews and architectural decision-making to ensure maintainable and scalable systems
