Overview
As an investment strategist, you will join the Global Investment Strategy Team. That team is responsible for coordinating, developing, and delivering the house view to the entire Private Bank division. You will assist the Global Chief Investment Strategist/Chief Investment Officer - Americas in the development of quantitative and qualitative research to build the “CIO View” of Deutsche Bank Wealth.

What You’ll Do
- To assist in the development of research publications to convey investment strategy and “CIO View”. Publications include Quarterly Outlooks (including “signature” Ten Themes Outlooks), weekly insights, monthly Regional Investment Committee presentations, quarterly market recaps, monthly market reviews, topical reports, and various other internal calls
- Ability to independently research and understand a wide range of asset classes that include equities (U.S., sectors, international, developed and emerging markets), fixed income (sectors), commodities and alternatives
- Assist in the creation, monitoring, and articulation of proprietary high conviction ideas across all asset classes. High conviction ideas should be supported by and consistent with the CIO view, fundamentals and technicals
- Administrative: Liaison with CIO Office to distribute research publications to all relevant channels to maximize reach of research; update internet and intranet sites with timely publications; coordinate weekly investment strategy meeting and take notes on group’s deliverables
How You’ll Lead
- Ability to articulate and present the Global CIO House view to both internal stakeholders and external clients/prospects. Function as the right hand of CIO-Americas in participating in client meetings
- Work to solidify existing relationships of the CIO team with relationship management, portfolio management and investment management teams
Skills You’ll Need
- Undergraduate degree in Finance or Economics; CFA and/or MBA designation/candidacy a plus
- Working knowledge of research tools such as FactSet and LSEG Workspace/LSEG Datastream
- The ability to build databases, analyze data (including regression analysis), and communicate findings. Familiarity with on-line research data providers (Fed, BLS, BEA)
- The ability to monitor the drivers of performance for each asset class ranging from equities to bonds to alternatives
- Proven relevant work experience

- Self-motivated and works well creating individualistic research
- An avid reader of financial periodicals such as Barron’s, WSJ, FT, etc. to complement internal research
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $150,000 to $190,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
