Margin Operations responsible for minimizing Deutsche Bank’s counterparty credit risk on its collateralized derivatives portfolio. We aggregate the Bank’s exposure across trading activity globally, administer the margin terms dictated in bilateral ISDA and CSA (Credit Support Annex) Agreements and facilitate exchange of permissible collateral (cash or securities) with our clients or central clearing counterparties. The team also manages Margin Disputes, regulatory Portfolio Reconciliation and Data Control flowing into the margining systems for APAC, EMEA and US regions.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Involve in the setting up of new clients to be ready for margining post CSA execution
  • Be a central point of contact for clients on margin and valuations related queries and responding / resolving their queries / disputes in a timely and professional manner and having to build strong working relationships with various front and back offices departments globally
  • Coordinate with other areas such as credit risk, legal, sales, trading on new business negotiations and new workflow discussions.
  • Governance of outsourced functions in India – maintain oversight over accuracy and completeness of processes around margin operations and valuations statements distribution.
  • Monitor KPIs and KRIs of the process. Manage operational risk through close collaborations with outsourced functions regarding existing controls and recommend/implement new or improved controls
  • Keep Management informed of the exceptional occurrences, to enable appropriate action
  • Re-engineering the current process to meet the changing needs of the business. Contributing to various projects which are kicked off in the department to increase efficiency in the process.
  • Maintain and update team’s process and controls in procedure documents

Your skills and experience:

  • Experience with margin operations / collateral processes is a plus.
  • Strong organisational skills; ability to identify and prioritise multiple tasks based on criticality, impact and franchise importance.
  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
  • Fluent in both English and Japanese
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
  • Ability to connect with people as well as desire to learn process flows.
  • Dedication to servicing a demanding internal and external client base.
