Team / division overview

The Human Resources (HR) Relationship Management team provides generalist and advisory support to the DWS business, executing on the people strategy – delivering alignment between the business strategy and the people strategy. The HR team interacts with employees and managers across all professions in our asset management business, acting as a trusted advisor and providing expert advice and guidance to Global managers on people issues, culture change, and HR products. The team act both as HR Relationship Managers, providing advice and support to managers and employees, as well as playing a leading role in HR transformation initiatives.

Your responsibilities:

As an HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with the business, to implement an HR people agenda that is aligned and integrated into their business strategy.

  • Demonstrate personal focus on building and maintaining trusted relations by giving expert advice and guidance to business clients, in addition to executing lifecycle process tasks.

  • Supporting company transformation and helping in embedding the change whilst also operating as a control function to ensure good governance and adherence to relevant policies and processes.

  • Coaching Managers in leading Global/Regional teams, in living the values and modelling the required leadership behaviours and in conforming to DWS standard policies/processes.

  • Implementing change initiatives in new organisational models, including advice and execution around restructuring, organisational design, near shoring and deliverables.

  • Ensuring corporate HR programmes are delivered to the business client effectively and efficiently.

  • Implementing a workforce strategy which has been agreed with the business, and with Talent Acquisition and Development to develop resource and development requirements.

  • Supporting performance management activities, including annual performance reviews, feedback activity and management of underperformance.

  • Managing employee relations cases, monitoring employee relations issues from a HR functional specialist point of view, to identify trends or business impacts and recommending corrective actions.

We are looking for:

  • A proven background in HR Advisory/Business Partnering within a financial services environment.

  • Experience of managing employee relations cases throughout the complete life-cycle.

  • Strong stakeholder capabilities in a matrix organisation.

  • Experience of supporting and delivering HR change/transformation initiatives.

  • Strong analytical skills and commercially astute, with the ability to make effective decisions that impact local and regional businesses.

  • Educated to degree level or with relevant professional experience.
