You will join the BLAFC team which advises Deutsche Bank businesses on best practice and standards for risk-mitigation reflecting the applicable provisions of the German AML Act, the German Banking Act and applicable local laws in each jurisdiction in which the business lines operate. Global BLAFC drives divisional and cross-regional harmonisation of AFC for Deutsche Bank’s businesses by facilitating the development of globally consistent strategies and responses to issues and supporting cross-regional initiatives.

Your key responsibilities
- Lead the management, evaluation, development and enhancement of AFC related controls for FIC, and the ongoing AFC support for this business.
- Develop communication with representatives across senior members of the FIC business to ensure timely AFC support and to continue to raise the profile/partnership model of AFC.
- Advise on and drive AFC best practices and harmonisation to mitigate financial crime risk in FIC reflecting German AML Act, German Banking Act, United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) local laws.
- Act as the senior point of contact for ongoing FIC financial crime risk matters, identifying cross-regional trends, leading the execution of initiatives and projects, and leading AFC management of global client multi-jurisdictional adoptions, reviews and escalations.
- Overseeing the remediation of findings and obligations assigned by regulatory authorities and monitors; and ensuring consistent tracking and timely closure of findings (including reporting).
- Management responsibility for AFC professionals, provide guidance and mentoring to the AFC employees
Your skills and experience
- 7+ years AFC experience in the financial services industry.
- Material experience in advising FIC businesses on financial crime risk matters.
- In depth knowledge of AML regulation and regulatory expectations in Germany, UK and US.
- Adept at understanding, proposing, and implementing recommendations on key AFC matters.
- Detailed knowledge of FIC business and associated products
- Demonstrable ability to effectively communicate with and influence all levels of the business
