Overview
You will serve as a hands‑on SRE within Post Trade Automation Technology, improving the reliability and scalability of our Fixed Income Settlement systems. You will build the engineering solutions that strengthen our cloud footprint, enhance automation, and modernize both Fabric‑based and legacy components. You will apply SRE principles to optimize performance, reduce operational friction, and deliver the resilient infrastructure our business depends on. This is a role where your engineering decisions directly shape the stability of critical production platforms

What You’ll Do
Develop and implement reliability, availability, and observability improvements across Fixed Income Settlement systems
Define and maintain SLOs/SLIs and use them to guide engineering priorities and service quality
Build resilience patterns (e.g., auto‑scaling, circuit breakers, retries) into application and infrastructure code
Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational processes to reduce toil and improve MTTR
Design and maintain Corporate Insurance (CI)/CD pipelines and automation frameworks supporting Fabric‑based and legacy systems
Architect and deliver scalable cloud solutions on GCP using Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern cloud‑native practices
Skills You’ll Need
Strong programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, NodeJS/TypeScript, or Shell
Hands‑on experience with GCP and Terraform‑based infrastructure‑as‑code
Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Ansible, UCD)
Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes (GKE), and Helm
Strong understanding of distributed systems, observability, and cloud‑native engineering
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Experience with Azure or AWS
Background in Fixed Income Securities Settlements or financial systems
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
Effective communicator who collaborates well across engineering and business teams
Proactive, ownership‑driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and mentoring
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $153,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
