Details of the Division and Team:

Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM) division provides integrated products and industry sector coverage. This includes mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory; debt capital markets activities for corporations and financial sponsors. Our regional and industry-focused teams ensure the delivery of our entire range of financial products and services to our clients.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Support origination and execution of IB business, with a strong focus in M&A

  • Due diligence of clients and markets

  • Deal documentation and internal approvals

  • Participation in marketing efforts, including preparation of client presentations and pitches

  • Handling day to day client queries on all execution related matters

  • Attending client meetings independently

Your skills and experience:

  • At least 6 years of relevant M&A advisory and/or Corporate Finance experience

  • Candidate needs to be fluent in English and Japanese

  • Highly motivated and self-driven with ability to multi task across clients, projects and geographies

  • Have strong quantitative skills including extensive experience with financial models and valuation techniques

  • Strong communication skills and able to articulate to demanding clients

Education/Qualifications:

  • Educated to university degree level with strong numerical ability

  • Excellent communication skills with Fluency in both Japanese and English

  • Highly self-motivated and able to work in a high-pressure environment
