Overview
As an AI Engineer, you will design, build, and scale end‑to‑end AI solutions across backend services, cloud infrastructure, and user-facing applications. You will work across LLM processing pipelines, data ingestion and transformation workflows, API-driven services, and modern web interfaces, while ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and production-ready. This role requires strong engineering fundamentals in Python, cloud-native development, and modern frameworks, along with the ability to collaborate across platform, infrastructure, and frontend teams to deliver enterprise-grade AI capabilities.

What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain LLM processing pipelines and AI‑powered services
- Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and API‑driven workflows supporting AI applications
- Develop and integrate backend services with modern web interfaces to deliver seamless end‑to‑end user experiences
- Implement and maintain cloud‑native deployment architectures and CI/CD pipelines for AI solutions
- Ensure AI applications meet enterprise standards for scalability, reliability, security, and compliance
- Rapidly prototype solutions to automate manual processes and improve development efficiency
How You’ll Lead
- Implement and manage enterprise system integrations, cloud services, and event‑driven architectures supporting AI workflows
Skills You’ll Need
- Strong proficiency in Python and API design for production‑grade AI systems
- Experience building and deploying cloud‑native applications on GCP (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, IAM)
- Hands‑on experience with modern web technologies such as React JS and frontend‑backend integration patterns
- Experience working with relational, vector, and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, pgvector, Graph DBs)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure‑as‑code, and automated deployment practices
- Experience with Google ADK / Vertex AI
Skills That Will Help You Excel
- Experience integrating open‑source and commercial AI frameworks into enterprise environments
- Ability to design scalable, secure AI systems that support high‑concurrency production workloads
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000 to 185,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
