Overview

The Market Conduct Office (MCO) is responsible for embedding market conduct considerations into business decision‑making and strengthening the effectiveness, sustainability, and transparency of the firm’s market conduct control environment. Operating as a first‑line function within the Investment Bank, MCO provides enterprise‑wide governance, oversight, and insight across all Group activities with market conduct risk exposure. You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering key components of the firm’s market conduct MI strategy, in support of the overall strategic direction set by senior MCO leadership. This role will be responsible for driving day-to-day execution, owning discrete initiatives, leading senior level discussions, and supporting representation of the function in governance and regulatory-facing forums, including preparing analysis, materials, and senior-level responses, as appropriate.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the design, enhancement, and ongoing delivery of Market Conduct MI, reporting, and analytics across the Bank
  • Translate disparate sources of conduct-related data into coherent, enterprise-level insights, identifying emerging risk themes, drivers, and areas of focus to inform senior management decision-making
  • Partner with Front Office businesses and control functions to enhance conduct related metrics
  • Lead the synthesis and presentation of MI and analytics outputs for senior governance forums, ensuring clear narrative, challenge, and decision‑focused insight

How You’ll Lead

  • The MI, Reporting, & Governance role will focus on translating multiple sources of market conduct information into tangible actions to ensure a strong control culture embedded into our Bank

Skills You’ll Need

  • Significant experience operating in a first line control or Front Office risk role within a complex investment banking environment
  • Strong risk and controls mindset, excellent execution discipline, and the ability to prioritize across competing deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Demonstrated experience designing and operating governance and risk management frameworks (1st/2nd line), including MI, issue management, and committee governance
  • Proven committee and workshop facilitation skills within formal governance forums, including the ability to challenge effectively, align senior stakeholders, and drive decisions and follow through

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $170K to $190K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
