Overview

The Senior Program / Project Manager is responsible for driving complex, security focused network programs that enhance Deutsche Bank’s cyber security posture, close audit and regulatory findings, and ensure tight integration with the Chief Security Office (CSO). The role operates within the network project portfolio and ensures full compliance with Deutsche Bank’s Change Governance Framework (CGF), consistent delivery quality, and close alignment with security and risk functions.

This includes end to end governance, delivery assurance, risk management, and stakeholder management across GNS, CSO, Engineering, Operations, Architecture, and external partners.

What We Offer You

  • A diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaboration
  • A hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer days
  • Employee Resource Groups support an inclusive workplace for everyone and promote community engagement
  • Competitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefits
  • Educational resources, matching gifts and volunteer programs

What You’ll Do

  • Lead delivery of cyber‑security‑driven network transformation programs, including Zero Trust, network segmentation, NAC, enhanced access control, and other CSO‑mandated initiatives across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud environments
  • Provide portfolio‑wide project and program assurance in adherence to Deutsche Bank’s Change Governance Framework (CGF), ensuring consistent governance, controls, and delivery discipline
  • Maintain comprehensive oversight of risks, issues, dependencies, and remediation progress across the network security portfolio
  • Partner closely with CSO and security teams to ensure alignment with Deutsche Bank security policies, control frameworks, technology risk requirements, and regulatory obligations (e.g., European Central Bank (ECB) cyber resilience, European Banking Authority (EBA) ICT, DORA)
  • Translate threat‑driven architecture principles and modern attacker techniques (e.g., lateral movement, privilege escalation) into actionable network security requirements, challenging technical designs for security sufficiency
  • Oversee cyber‑security risk, audit, and resilience activities, including vulnerability management, Identity and Access Management NAC and firewall governance, penetration testing, red/blue‑team exercises, and closure of audit and regulatory findings

How You’ll Lead

  • Drive secure‑by‑design outcomes by aligning network engineering, deployment, and operations teams, influencing design decisions to embed security controls from inception
  • Act as a senior point of accountability for network cyber‑security governance, providing clear direction, escalation, and decision‑making across complex, multi‑stakeholder programs
  • Lead engagement with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., CSO, audit, regulators), ensuring clear communication of risk posture, remediation progress, and compliance status

Skills You’ll Need

  • Strong technical expertise across network security technologies (e.g., Cisco, Check Point, F5, firewalls, proxies, routing, segmentation, NAC) and modern cyber‑security methodologies
  • Deep understanding of technology risk and control frameworks, with the ability to apply them pragmatically to large‑scale network and infrastructure programs
  • Proven experience leading large, multi‑year, global infrastructure and security‑driven transformation programs, including audit remediation initiatives
  • Demonstrated leadership managing global, multicultural network and IT infrastructure teams, delivering complex outcomes in regulated environments.
  • Excellent senior‑level communication skills, supported by a relevant technical degree and professional certifications (PMP/PRINCE2 preferred; CISSP/CISM/CISA highly desirable), with strong awareness of regulatory drivers (e.g., ECB, EBA, SOX, GLBA, Dodd‑Frank)

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Highly proactive, analytical, and able to manage ambiguity
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to work under regulatory pressure
  • Collaborative, internationally minded, and able to build strong cross functional relationships
  • Outcome driven, structured, and committed to continuous improvement
