You will join Deutsche Bank’s global Group Audit Data team, collaborating with stakeholders across business and infrastructure functions to strengthen trust in how data is governed and managed. You will support audits covering data management and records management, including governance, data quality and control frameworks. Your key responsibilities

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of controls across data management and records management using the Group Audit methodology

  • Complete data capability assessments, continuous monitoring and planned audits

  • Prepare and coordinate audit assignments and stakeholder engagements

  • Draft and track audit findings through to closure validation

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across governance, data quality and data lifecycle processes

  • Support reporting and tracking of data and records risks

Your skills and experience

  • Proven experience in Internal Audit, Data Risk, Data Management or Technology Risk, ideally within Financial Services

  • Strong track record leading or delivering audit engagements or independent reviews, including scoping, fieldwork and reporting

  • Demonstrable experience assessing Data Management and/or Records Management frameworks, including data quality, lineage, governance and operating models

  • Solid understanding of end-to-end Data Management frameworks and ability to assess the design and effectiveness of controls across complex data flows

  • Experience working across first- and second-line functions, with confidence to challenge control environments, data strategy and governance frameworks

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and translating complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights

Requirements

  • Strong track record of independently delivering audits and taking accountability for outcomes

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple audits or workstreams in parallel

  • Experience delivering projects or programmes with a structured and disciplined approach

  • Exposure to Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and management reporting within a data or risk context

  • High level of professional judgement, resilience and independence, with the ability to challenge constructively

  • Strong written communication skills, including producing clear, executive-ready outputs; professional certifications and experience with data tools, analytics or emerging technologies (e.g. AI/Big Data) are advantageous
