What is the Position? Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst for its Advanced Data & Analytics Team located in New York, NY.

Primary Responsibilities: We’re seeking a highly motivated Analyst to join a new and growing team focused on automating workflows and building analytical tools that support high-stakes decision-making across the firm. In this role, you’ll design and implement Python-based solutions that streamline how deal teams evaluate opportunities, assess markets, and act on insights - enhancing both firmwide strategy and group-level execution.

You’ll also contribute to exploratory projects that apply machine learning to real-world banking challenges - ranging from time series modeling and classification tasks to natural language processing on unstructured data. Working in a small, focused team, you’ll take ownership of impactful workstreams while collaborating with peers and receiving direction from senior stakeholders. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role at the intersection of banking, technology, and applied analytics - ideal for someone who enjoys using code and quantitative methods to solve complex problems and build tools that support high-impact decisions.

Specific Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver with strong technical fundamentals and a desire to grow. They will also have:

• Proficiency in Python, with experience in data wrangling, scripting, or automation
• Familiarity with core machine learning concepts and interest in applying them to real-world financial data problems.
• Intellectual curiosity about AI and its application in finance & banking.
• Interest in financial services and a desire to apply technical skills to real-world business challenges
• Solid verbal communication skills - able to explain technical work clearly to non-technical audiences
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects with guidance
• Familiarity with tools like SQL, GitHub, Flask, or Dash is a plus but not required
• Minimum 2-4 years of analytics or banking experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or similar)

Expected Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000
