Private Wealth Management (PWM) secures, develops and manages relationships with high net worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by creating and implementing long-term asset allocation within the context of each client’s particular risk tolerance, and by providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies and offer a full array of wealth management products and services, including private banking and trust company services.
YOUR IMPACT
The Single Stock Risk Management (SSRM) team within PWM, partners with clients holding concentrated single-stock positions to deliver bespoke advice and execution of risk management strategies. The Team offers a wide array of solutions including hedging strategies, monetization strategies (including block trading), and our discretionary option writing strategy, Goldman Option Advisory Services (GOAS). SSRM is seeking an Analyst/Associate to help support the client-focused work of the team. The candidate will be involved in the marketing and origination of single stock solutions with PWM clients across cash and derivative products. The candidate must have strong analytical and presentation skills, they must be client focused and exhibit strong interpersonal communication abilities. Experience with OTC derivatives, equity structuring and marketing is preferred.
How you will fulfil your potential:
- Price, structure and execute complex equity-linked transactions
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders to achieve client objectives and provide a smooth client experience
- Analyse client positions and objectives to provide bespoke solutions for clients
- Work efficiently alongside more experienced members of the team to provide co-ordinated and scalable client coverage across the PWM client base
- Create marketing materials and analytics on single-stock solutions for distribution to prospective and existing clients
- Actively communicate trade ideas and updates of existing strategies with advisors and clients
- Track historical statistics and deal information
- Drive on-going projects to streamline processes and improve technological infrastructure
- Assist in the development of new products and initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-3 years of capital markets experience and/or equity derivatives background
- Interest in markets, equities, and derivatives
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good balance of quantitative and commercial skills
- Strong written and presentation skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple work streams
- Motivated team player who can actively contribute to a cohesive team environment
- Independent thinker who is logical and analytical
