At Goldman Sachs, Global Investment Research (GIR) produces analytically ambitious research with out-of-consensus conclusions in a fast-paced environment where time to market is of the essence. Our analyst teams cover 3,000 securities and 50+ global economies to deliver client-focused research in the equity, fixed income, currency and commodities markets.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
In partnership with analyst teams, Research Management, Legal & Compliance and other stakeholders, the Supervisory Analyst (SA) helps manage the reputational risk of investment research by ensuring that it is accurate, compliant and commercial.
Working as part of our Content Management Group (CMG) within the Research Publishing team, the SA will:
- Oversee the end-to-end review and production lifecycle of investment research, from submission through to global distribution, while contributing to strategic initiatives such as systems development and guideline enhancement.
- Partner with analysts to ensure research meets commercial, regulatory, and firm standards, providing expert guidance on policies and publication requirements.
- Drive operational excellence by adopting new digital and AI-enabled tools to streamline workflows and enhance research delivery.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a motivated Associate committed to building a long-term career within CMG. You will bring a positive, proactive mindset and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Education, Certification & Editing Expertise:
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, along with a willingness to obtain all required qualifications, including FINRA Series 16
- Prior Supervisory Analyst experience is not required, but candidates must demonstrate strong editing skills, including refining content authored by non-native English speakers, and a sound understanding of standard accounting concepts
- Prior research experience would be desirable but not essential
- Market Knowledge & Analytical Mindset:
- A genuine interest in financial markets and investment research, combined with strong attention to detail and the ability to balance precision with commercial judgement
- Technical Proficiency & Digital Agility:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and comfort adopting new digital and AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity
- Collaboration & Professional Drive:
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while working effectively with global stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, and Research Management
