About the role:
The China Marketing Senior Manager is the primary marketing leader for branding and promoting Invesco in China. This individual will lead Invesco corporate brand building in China and lead marketing efforts to sell Invesco investment solutions to Chinese Institutional clients. This individual will be the primary contact to coordinate marketing activities with our JV, Invesco Great Wal (IGW), with particular emphasis on finding synergistic ways to amplify both Invesco and IGW position in China to benefit the awareness and preference for Invesco and IGW. The Marketing Manager will work closely with internal & external groups to understand client and business needs and implement marketing activities to promote of our onshore businesses including QDII, WFOE and other onshore China ventures.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Understand client and business needs and develop strategic marketing plans and KPIs for our Invesco China business, to deliver business, corporate and brand goals, including building awareness and understanding of the Invesco corporate brand in China.
Act as the primary marketing coordinator with our JV business Invesco Great Wall’s marketing and QDII teams and to understand ways to amplify and solidify IGW from a parent company marketing standpointMBAM.
Implement impactful marketing programs to drive brand growth and business results through campaigns, digital promotion, events, social and web.
Own the strategic direction for digital marketing & social platforms targeting onshore China clients.
Establish positive relationships and work with internal Invesco& IGW business partners across the CAO office, sales, marketing, thought leadership, media relations, product, sales, compliance and operations to implement our marketing strategies
Use data and analytics to ensure KPIs are met and improved
Understand and manage agency relationships to build and run marketing campaigns.
Lead content adaptation and review sign off in Chinese language for a variety of marketing collateral including presentations, invites, email campaigns, etc.
Be the China specialist and strong contributor to the Asia Ex Japan institutional marketing team with new ideas, best practices that can benefit both the China marketing efforts and the broader regional business.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
7+ years of working experience in marketing at asset management/ fintech/finance industry in China, experience working with global and Chinese financial firms is highly preferred.
Solid experience in branding, digital, above-the-line, below-the-line, and events in China, including social media (WeChat, Weibo at a minimum).
Adept at stakeholder engagement & management, in both an international office environment as well as understand onshore China working modes and practices
In depth understanding of investment asset classes- active equities, fixed income, ETFs, alternative investing for marketing purposes.
Strong knowledge of agency partners and vendors in mainland China to drive marketing initiatives
A good understanding of sponsorship opportunities in China.
Ability to navigate and understand global organizations and JV entities and the working dynamics of such a set up.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
Strategic mindset. Able to adapt to changing markets in China and bring innovative and effective ideas.
Able to work well in a team environment and handle multiple concurrent assignments, work independently, and assume personal responsibility for deliverables and timelines, reprioritizing work as needed.
Knowledge and expertise of core marketing and China-specific marketing techniques, including KOL ecosystem, onshore social media techniques, marketing automation, CRM system, and data analytics.
Experience working with an international firm to extract the appropriate content for adaptation and comfortable working across different stakeholders outside China.
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Sales Force, WeChat, Adobe campaigns, project management software like Smartsheet.
