Job Description
The Department:
Client Intelligence team is responsible for increasing data driven decision making at Invesco. The group works mostly with the Americas & EMEA Distribution and Marketing teams to help achieve our ‘play to win’ goals through a better understanding of our clients. It works like a small startup within the organization, with a clear focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency through end-to-end management of data, analytics, visualization and in-field implementation.
Your Role:
The Senior Analyst, Client Analytics sits in Invesco’s Client Intelligence organization which supports Invesco’s retail and institutional businesses in the Americas and EMEA. Reporting to the Head of Client Analytics this role will help provide analytics and data driven insights that support the sustained growth of the Invesco North America Institutional (NAI) business.
You will be responsible for:
- Ensure accurate and timely data reporting and analytics for distribution partners and internal stakeholders
- Cultivate relationship with NAI distribution partners using client analytics, industry best practices, and home office insights to drive strategic goals
- Support the analytics roadmap and promote the effective use of data and insights to build actionable growth solutions for NAI teams
- Employ data and analytics to define, monitor, and measure our client segmentation & engagement strategies, product targeting campaigns, and strategy execution
- Partner with the NAI Distribution and NAI marketing teams to design and manage dashboards and tools to help business stakeholders access information, uncover insights, and execute on sales strategies
- Build and develop relationships with NAI Distribution team leaders, sales consultants, consultant relations, and product specialists to influence the use of data and analysis in their decision making
- Develop, manage, and own various projects including problem definition, solution design, and implementation
- Analyze data and trends using Business Intelligence tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, Excel) to help define and solve business problems
The experience you bring:
- 2+ years of experience developing actionable insights and applying data analytics in a sales consulting setting in the asset management industry or financial services industry
- Experience with institutional client databases, such as MMD, eVestment, Preqin, is strongly preferred
- Experience working with NAI sales leaders and consultant relations, and translating their business needs into technical requirements and solutions
- Thought leadership for client type segments such as professional buyer
- Experience with financial transactions data or the Asset Management industry
- A unique combination of data analytics and sales experience is highly desirable and ability to translate problem statements to technical requirements
- The successful candidate will demonstrate high personal initiate, the ability to work independently and be a strong team player
- Stakeholder service focused with ability to think strategically and develop innovative ways to optimize data, presentations and go-to-market approaches
- Demonstrated technical competence:
- Experience in designing and implementing Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc)
- Experience in creating and using Salesforce reporting tools
- Exceptional storyboarding skills using MS PowerPoint
- Understanding of data analysis and database queries (SQL, Snowflake, AWS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint
- Solid knowledge on Asset management industry and good understanding of NAI distribution channels and clients of the industry
- Superior relationship building, communication, and ability to influence skills
- Ability to effectively balance implementation of highly technical models in a sales environment
- Capable of not only knowing the ‘how’ but also telling the ‘so what’
- Intellectual curiosity, with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to define issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
- Ability to work in agile, test & learn, and iterative environment
- Strong project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication and presentation skills, especially in small group settings
- Undergraduate or advanced degree in a quantitative or Finance discipline (such as Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics) with focus on data analytics techniques
- Strong academic qualifications, including advanced understanding/coursework in database management and Data Science
The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $100,000/ year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
