What we are we looking for:
The role partners with Investment Managers in the asset management and oversight of various commercial real estate investments with the goal of optimizing financial performance. The Senior Associate is an integral role in developing and executing property specific strategies, analyzing major leasing decisions and understanding how they impact value, performing major feasibility studies and evaluating property level performance against relevant industry benchmarks.
For select assets, the role will be directly responsible for the daily operations and client deliverables as directed by the Investment Manager. In addition, the role is responsible for providing support and analysis for the preparation of the quarterly and annual property reports and budgets for a portfolio of UK, Irish, & Nordic assets.
Responsibilities include:
Working with the Investment Manager to create and execute property level operational strategies. Analyzing major leasing decisions, oversee capital projects, and driving additional asset level strategies as required. Working collaboratively alongside various third party property managers, JV partners, and various other stakeholders.
Assisting in the review of valuation models (Argus and Excel) and taking part in the acquisition and disposition process, overseeing the flow of due diligence information for select investments as needed.
Preparing financial analysis to track historic portfolio and property level results in comparison to industry benchmarks.
Coordinating the development of Annual Business Plans and Monthly/Quarterly reports by assisting in the preparation of property operating and capital budgets.
Collecting, analyzing and synthesizing relevant market reports and other lease or transaction related data.
Assisting Investment Managers in creating asset level ESG+R goals for each investment, and working closely with third party management, JV partners and outside consultants to help effectuate those objectives.
What you can bring:
Experience in the commercial real estate industry (or business-related activity) is preferred.
Property level experience is a plus.
Effective interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) and listening skills.
Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, with proficiency in Argus, Yardi, and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Ability to understand and interpret lease agreements and language as well as present value concepts and financial terminology.
Analytical problem solving skills and capable to undertake detailed analyses and make well-reasoned, decisive recommendations.
Demonstrated prioritization, organization and time management skills necessary to balance competing deadlines.
Desire to multi-task and work independently and collaboratively in a complex, high-volume environment.
Competency to work with all levels of management and personnel on critical projects.
Graduate with a good degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a financially related subject, or the jobholder is able to demonstrate equivalent academic caliber. A commitment to continued education in real estate will be encouraged.
