Job Description
Position: Advanced Eng, Distrib Tech
Location: Houston, TX
Duties:
- Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain highly performant API-driven web applications on our stack.
- Design and implement REST APls to industry/company standards.
- Work with our amazing product design team to develop and iterate on user interfaces that bring simplicity to complicated financial data.
- Interact with engineering members across the organization to ensure consistency in engineering practices and foster active exchange of ideas.
- Collaborate across a global organization with development centers in Atlanta, Houston, New York City and India.
- Perform peer code reviews. Review performance, security and flexibility of the code.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g. daily standup, release and sprint planning, demos, scrum of scrums).
- Work with Architects to define technical roadmaps.
- Participate and help to evangelist and promote enterprise solutions with business and technology partners.
Requirements:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in software engineering or development positions performing/utilizing the following:
- Developing responsive and dynamic web applications, working in Angular, Vue.js and React.
- Developing complex front-end applications using React, Angular and Vue.js ensuring high performance and maintainability across platforms.
- Working with KendoUI, Bootstrap and Vuetify to create responsive, accessible, and visually appealing user interfaces and utilizing said libraries to accelerate development and ensure consistency across applications.
- Working with CSS3, SCSS, CSS Flexbox and SASS, focusing on creating sophisticated and responsive designs that enhance user experience.
- Working with Agile teams, participating in daily standups, sprint planning, grooming sessions and retrospectives to drive success and adaptability to changing requirements.
- Implementing and managing Single Sign On (SSO) solutions.
- JavaScript and Typescript; Version control systems, including Git and Bitbucket; and build tools such, including Jenkins, to support continuous integration and development processes.
- In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field plus 3 years of experience in software engineering or development positions performing/utilizing the aforementioned.
- Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Invesco offices in Houston, TX. Must be available to travel to Houston, TX regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours’ notice.
