Job Description


Your Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Senior Associate to join our Corporate Development team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the firm’s inorganic growth initiatives, including M&A, joint ventures, strategic investments, and partnerships. This position offers significant exposure to senior leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to work on high-impact transactions that shape the future of a market-leading asset management business. You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures.

  • Work hand-in-hand with Corporate Strategy to conduct market research, competitive benchmarking, and financial analysis to inform strategic recommendations.

  • Build detailed financial models including valuation (DCF, precedent transactions, trading comps), synergy analyses, and accretion/dilution modeling.

  • Prepare and present executive-level materials including deal memos, transaction and partnership presentations, and board updates.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders across strategy, legal, finance, product, distribution, operations, and compliance to support due diligence and integration planning.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to external advisors (bankers, lawyers, consultants, etc.) as needed on transactions.

  • Track and analyze industry trends, M&A activity, and strategic opportunities in the asset management and broader financial services sectors.

  • Take full ownership of deal processes end to end.

The Experience You Bring:

  • 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a related field; asset or wealth management experience preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA,CFA or CPA designation a plus but not required

  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • High degree of professionalism, intellectual curiosity, and business judgment.

  • Team player willing to contribute to all aspects of corporate development.

The base salary range in NYC is mid to upper $100s. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills and experience.
