Business Architecture sits with our Enterprise Architecture Team. The Enterprise Architecture team are responsible for enterprise data, application, technology and business architecture. Working with business areas to understand current capabilities and future needs to deliver changes to how they operate.
Your Role
We are looking for an experiences Business Architect to take on a senior role in leading the business architecture for a Business Domain (Investments, Distribution, Corporate). This involves working with the teams within the domain to understand future needs, be the "front door" for these requests and assess the impact of change to our business capabilities, identifying the people, process, data and technology changes required and pulling in other teams as necessary.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Working with business partners to understand current pain points and help build out capability based roadmaps of future change.
Building business architecture artefacts, including but not limited to, capabilities, value streams and strategy mapping.
Clearly articulating problem statements and owning the Architecture Impact Assessment of new changes.
Promoting the vision and strategy for the Business Architecture capability whilst championing the tools and processes to drive adoption
Validating and enriching the existing business capability structures, promoting adoption through close partnerships with our business partners across Investments, Distribution and Corporate.
Collaborating with other architects to help inform the design and implementation of products and services.
Playing an active role in helping promote business architecture standard methodology.
Documenting and maintaining business architecture within Enterprise Architecture tools
The Experience You Bring:
Minimum years of 4 years in Business Architecture experience
A recognized expert in the field of Business Architecture bringing extensive experience as business architect, preferably within financial services firms
Experience in a senior Architecture role, partnering and leading the engagement with a broad business area (Investments, Distribution or Corporate) and working with them on understand current capabilities and assessing gaps to future strategy
Experience using an enterprise architecture tooling (Ardoq preferred) to provide business architecture insights
Highly experience working with engineering teams and business partners implementing architecture strategies.
Experienced in business architecture approaches, ideally with knowledge of BizBok
Prefer CBA (Certified Business Architect) qualification
Proficient in using ArchiMate or other modelling techniques for business strategy and motivation (exposure to technology and application layers desirable).
Strong business acumen in financial services, investments, and asset management
Strong consultancy skills from either management consultancy or working as an internal consultant
Excellent stakeholder management skills and skills in building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders
Ability to influence and lead others without direct line management
