Job Description
Your Role
As a Senior Scrum Master, you will support one or more Kanban teams contributing to improve the flow of value delivery. You will act as a servant leader and coach for an agile team, educating the team in Kanban and ensuring that the agreed lean-agile process is being followed. You will help team members communicate, coordinate, and cooperate, assisting the team in meeting their outcomes. As a servant leader, you will enable teams to deliver via effective lean-agile practices and help them master the art of agile metrics.
You will be Responsible for:
Helps the team embrace agile core values, adopt, and apply lean and agile principles, and implement agile practices with a focus on Kanban.
Contributes directly to the creation of new value by facilitating the team’s progress toward its objectives –challenging the old ways of working to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow to continuously deliver value for the organization.
Leads team efforts in relentless improvement – helps the team improve and take responsibility for their actions; facilitates the team retrospective.
Teaches problem-solving techniques and facilitates problem-solving events.
Facilitates events – Facilitates team events, including (where applicable) the Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, and Iteration Retrospective, ensuring they are productive and kept within the timebox – driving collaborative and efficient development of new software functionality.
Supports the product owners and leadership to optimize the prioritization process.
Supports the forming of a high-performing team – focuses on ever-improving team dynamics and performance.

Facilitating and coaching the team on Kanban practices such as:
Improving visualization of how work and value flows.
Improving the flow of value by adopting lean principles.
Defining explicit policies and ensuring they are followed.
Defining and improving on WIP limits.
Defining work item types and classes of services.
Driving change and continuous improvements using data and metrics.
Identifying bottlenecks and coaching for their removal.
Maintaining JIRA health and ensuring that metrics can be pulled from JIRA.
Facilitates preparation and coordination of strategic program planning and OKR alignment events.
The Experience You Bring:
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a Scrum Master
Experience of Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile
Agile Certified Professional certifications are preferred: SAFe Release Train Engineer Certification, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar.
A driven, decisive, and effective team collaborator.
Must be organized, self-motivated, highly adaptable, and have an ardent desire to embrace change.
Solid teamwork and interpersonal skill. Engages daily with the team & helps them.
Outstanding leadership and motivational skills - possessing a willingness to empower as well as inspire commitment and positive attitude in the team.
Thinks of the big picture, beyond day-to-day activities; practices systems thinking.
Comfortable presenting to & working with senior leaders.
A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
