About the Department/Team:
The technology teams that align to the Capital Markets and Investment Compliance businesses build and support technology solutions that improve speed to market and speed to insight for our investment professionals. The CRD Platform team enables business aligned tech teams like the capital markets and investment compliance teams to get the most out of the CRD Platform through application services and solution architecture.
About the Role:
As a Sr. Principal Architect on the Systematic Trading Technology Team, you will work closely with Traders, Quants, Business Analysts, and our global technology partners to design and build Invesco’s Trading and Trading Analytics platforms. Our goal is to deliver best-in-class trading solutions that empower traders, trade management, and the quantitative research teams to perform at the highest level. The team focuses on delivering innovative solutions using the latest technology, optimizing trading workflows, data modeling/analytics, and building applications/interfaces that not only make our trading desks effective, but also bring new trader ideas to life!
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Working closely with Trading Quants to understand requirements and designing innovative, forward-looking solutions for traders & quants.
- Partnering with the Product Owner to break down development tasks for the squad.
- Hands-on development, working with the squad to build out solutions, review code, design test cases, and build out SDLC pipelines.
- Partnering with Enterprise Architecture/Infrastructure/Security teams to ensure technology & security best practices are implemented
- Influence the design, so that systems are developed in a loosely coupled way with a high degree of alignment towards Invesco’s future state platform.
Requirements of the Role:
- 15+ years of Java full stack development experience, with 8+ years of experience as a technical architect
- Experience with design patterns, microservices architecture, and other relevant architectural concepts
- Experience with frameworks, including Swing
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS/ Azure
- Experience in implementing DevSecOps and APIs
- Working with Trading Workflows and any Execution Management Systems (EMS) like Portware would be a big plus
- Test Automation experience with Pytest, UnitTest, using Test driven development framework is a plus
- Experience with support systems and tools, such as Git, Jenkins, Bamboo, Ant, Maven, Docker, Log4j
- Ability to operate on an Agile team
- Experience with Investments/Asset Management (Equities, Fixed Income, Alternatives)
The salary range for this position in New York City is $180,000 - $200,000 / year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
