Investments Technology team is responsible for building and integrating investments data and capabilities that support our strategic goals and drive competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Your Role
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Global Investments Technology team, as well as various business stakeholders, to design, architect, and deliver innovative technology solutions that advance Invesco’s investments capabilities. You’ll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team that values speed, quality, automation, and continuous delivery.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Champion engineering initiatives and standard methodology by actively participating in Enterprise Architecture groups, bring insights and improvements to company technology practices.
A strong cross functional team player, effective communicator working with Investments tech team to deliver Investments Data and Capabilities platform implementation.
Hands on builder, who can execute and strive for efficiency without compromising quality; and is capable of diving in and being hands on to keep technical development on track.
Capable of enhancing Investments data and applications capabilities using Cloud native applications and Cloud data architecture (Snowflake), Python, Microservices/APIs, React, AWS, lambda, serverless, CI/CD, and test automation technologies.
Being a go-to person for architectural reviews and suggestions, willing to work and guide members outside your designated domain.
The Experience You Bring:
Have solid experience and knowledge of the capabilities of AWS cloud services, Microservices (Kubernetes, Docker), API Development and DevOps. Any relevant prior Certifications with cloud providers are a plus.
First-hand experience and solid knowledge of existing technologies covering, but not limited to, Python and/or .Net/C# as well as SQL and JavaScript. Any experience with React is an added plus.
Any knowledge of MuleSoft, Power BI, and Splunk is a plus.
The experience in applying AI and GenAI technologies within the enterprise is a plus.
Understand the concepts of the Agile methodologies and related methods (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban); be able to apply these as appropriate in different client contexts and solution phases.
Any exposure to Snowflake or any other Data Warehousing system is beneficial, but not essential.
Willingness to learn low code technology frameworks, such as Appian, Power Automate, etc. is expected from this position.
Keep up with the latest technology trends and design patterns and be prepared to discuss and generate ideas and try new methods. Be a self-starter who wants to drive and influence change.
