About the Department / Team:

Invesco's self-indexing unit creates equity, fixed income and multi-asset indexes including the indexes behind Invesco's flagship BulletShares range, innovative multi-asset indexes for index-linked insurance annuity products and custom equity index products for use by institutional investors. The team includes Index research, Index operations and Index client portfolio management. The unit is part of Invesco's Solutions group which oversees close to $200B of assets in equity, multi-asset and alternatives and comprises over 160 team members globally, as of the end of June 2025.

About the Role:

  • Ensure index information is delivered in a timely manner to users of Invesco indexes, including corporate actions, factsheets, working with Research and Operations to create scalable processes.
  • Maintain the Invesco indexes website, ensuring Index methodology documents, performance and portfolio data are kept up to date
  • Create and maintain collateral pertaining to Invesco's self-indexing capability. Proactively engage with internal and external stakeholders to develop opportunities.
  • Write investment proposals containing relevant quantitative analysis, market commentary, investment thesis
  • Support responding to enquiries pertaining to Invesco's systematic equities capability in long-only, active extension and long-short format

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Index corporate actions and rebalances communication and responding to index enquiries
  • Ensuring factsheets are accurate and on time
  • Ensuring Invesco's fixed income and equity portfolio managers using Invesco indexes are kept informed about any relevant index information
  • Supervising and enhancing the website
  • Creating collateral relevant to the activity
  • Creating systematic and indexing investment proposals, including data, graphs
  • Engaging with internal and external users of Invesco indexes

Requirements of the Role:

  • Knowledge in financial markets acquired in college classes or professional experience, ideally with experience working on indexes at an index provider
  • Familiarity with data manipulation in Excel or Python
  • Attention to detail and quality of work produced, be it data or text
  • Keen interest in systematic investing and academic research in the field of investment management
  • Communication skills as a writer for short investment pieces and presentations
  • Potential to grow in the role and evolve towards senior positions

The salary range for this position in New York City is $100,000 - $120,000 / year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
