Your Role:

The Marketing Manager Discretionary will execute and localize multi-channel marketing initiatives to contribute to the growth of Invesco’s Discretionary segment and support the implementation of the EMEA marketing strategy across the Benelux & Middle-East markets.

Working alongside other Marketing Managers in the Discretionary segment, you will ensure alignment with the broader EMEA strategy while tailoring initiatives to regional priorities when needed. It is important to think as global as possible, as local as necessary. This includes contributing to campaign planning, content localization, performance tracking and planning & implementation of segment priorities across the countries. The role requires strong collaboration with specialist teams and a keen understanding of local market dynamics to help deliver impactful, client-centric marketing experiences. In addition, the Marketing Manager will be accountable for cultivating strategic partnerships with local distribution teams.

Our challenge for the Marketing Manager, EMEA Discretionary is to effectively execute and localize the Discretionary segment marketing strategy across the region in close collaboration with the specialist teams, considering local client insight and the most efficient customer journeys in order to achieve our commercial goals and support Invesco’s longer-term plans. The role will build a strong and trusted partnership with the Distribution team in the region to gather client insights and adapt marketing initiatives to regional needs.

The Marketing Manager Discretionary reports to the Senior Discretionary Marketing Manager. The role collaborates closely with Distribution (Sales), EMEA Marketing covering ETF, Private Markets, other marketing managers of Advisory and Institutional (Pension & Insurance) segments and specialist Marketing teams. This role must collaborate with multiple stakeholders, helping to adapt global initiatives to local market needs and aligning Discretionary messaging with the unique needs of the relevant client segments.

Your Team:

Invesco serves a breadth of clients including digital platforms, financial advisors, discretionary clients, pension funds, and insurers. Our customers have diverse investment needs, which we are with an asset base of $1.8 trillion with expertise in ETF, equities, fixed income, alternatives/Private Markets and multi-asset. Marketing seeks to connect client needs with our capabilities by creating effective, accountable, multi-channel communications which educate, inspire and support our clients. The Segment organization works together with the other marketing teams (most obviously Brand, Content, Data/Insights, Digital Experience, Events, External Comms and Growth & Engagement) to deliver to segment needs and the overall EMEA marketing strategy.

What you will be doing:

  • Integrate the voice of the client in the Discretionary segment plans for the region leveraging client knowledge and insights to shape impactful, insight-driven marketing strategies and tactics.

  • Partner closely with Distribution colleagues to localize where needed, delivering the overall EMEA Discretionary marketing strategies in the region, integrating Discretionary messaging into broader client journeys aligned with commercial objectives and underpinned by measurable outcomes.

  • Collaborate with specialist Marketing teams (Events, Content, Research, GEM, Insights) to execute client experiences that reflect the needs defined by the Discretionary segment strategies.

  • Work closely together day to day partner with the Advisory and Institutional Marketing managers in the region.

  • Work in close partnership with other Discretionary marketers across EMEA to ensure regional strategy is consistently applied and adapted at the local level where needed.

  • Track and report on marketing activation performance using KPIs and analytics; apply insights to optimize future initiatives and share learnings.

  • Execute the local agenda based on client segments’ EMEA Country marketing plans. Be as global as possible, as local as necessary.

  • Build an effective partnership between Marketing and Distribution within the countries of focus

  • Leverage best practices across marketing to ensure Discretionary client journeys are consistently innovative, client-centric, and aligned with Invesco strategy

  • Lead and execute PR activity in the countries of focus in close collaboration with the Communications team, ensuring alignment with broader brand and messaging strategies.

What you will bring:

  • Proven expertise in B2B marketing in the financial services industry, with asset management experience as a plus

  • Track record in identifying and measuring the success of marketing campaigns, events, with digital experience a clear advantage

  • Marketing management within a digital-first organization, focusing on enhancing client experiences across channels and supporting upper-funnel growth initiatives.

  • Familiarity with implementing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.

  • Understanding of asset management, customers, products, competitors

  • Good understanding of the different market landscapes and product prioritization across markets and segments

  • Sales and Marketing automation platforms in action

  • Latest B2B marketing techniques, with emphasis on digital channels

  • Insights-, metrics- and results-based marketing principles

  • Graduate/Post graduate marketing qualifications and / or industry accreditation preferred

  • Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus.

  • High energy and flexible person; this is a changing landscape and we need someone who will ‘move with the times’.

  • Pragmatist who understands that strong progress is more valuable than waiting for perfection.

  • Great interpersonal skills that quickly enable effective relationships with key business partners.

  • Analytical mind-set to understand and deliver those metrics that link marketing to commercial results, and apply those learnings to improve future regional activities.

  • Ready to work in an international environment

  • Proactive and energetic team player who values collaboration and can think both strategically and tactically.
