Your Role
The Junior Analyst III position is an opportunity to work closely with ETF Equity and Fixed Income investment teams. The Junior Analyst III is responsible for assessing business intelligence and operations directly supporting the global trading and portfolio management process. This role will report into the Front Office Operations (FOO) Manager. This role will be located in Houston, TX.
You will be responsible for:
The Front Office Operations Junior Analyst III will support one or more of the five practices of FOO which include (1) Investment Platform Management, (2) Portfolio Monitoring, (3) Trade Implementation, (4) Client and Product Lifecycle, and (5) Regulatory and Policy Implementation.
Advanced knowledge of operations and end-to-end workflows across the asset classes
Support the building and submission of trade orders based on portfolio instructions or construction parameters.
Review and respond to any pre/post trade compliance warnings related to trading activity
Rebalance accounts and action structural adjustments in response to market movements or mandate changes.
Action and stay abreast of all front office operational issues
Investigate, research, and resolve issues; validate completeness and accuracy of data in various data/reports
Analyze and accurately process a broad range of BAU requests and client instructions/ requests, transaction processing, and ad-hoc tasks as allocated by front office teams
Oversee the prioritization and onboarding of country markets for products and funds
Compile data and supporting documentation for internal & external audits, reviews, and compliance requirements
Work with senior leaders to address and mitigate gaps in processes
Support and provide valuable inputs to our business partners on special projects or by contributing new ideas and initiatives
Serve as a liaison for questionnaires and surveys for Request for Proposals and various ad hoc requests
Onboard sponsors, monitor asset reporting, and continuously explore efficiencies to accommodate the expansion of firms
Respond to proxy inquiries and share findings with internal parties
Effectively communicate with investments, trading team, front office teams, technology, investment services team, and other users to resolve issues and escalate problems to appropriate groups
Expect to work with stakeholders located in global offices.
The experience you bring:
A college degree in Finance or Economics is preferred
Solid understanding of various asset classes (ETF’s, Fixed-Income, Equity)
Knowledge of investment business, buy-side processes, and investment products
Experience in front office applications is preferred (Aladdin, CRD, Bloomberg)
Knowledge in Excel Macros development, SQL and Python Coding a plus
Aptitude for rapid adaptation to new systems/software
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications; experience and ability to write cohesive documentation
