Security Architect - Tech Assurance

Join our Cyber Technology Assurance team to continuously monitor critical business solutions and security assets for changes to their security posture.

What role will you play?

In your role as a Security Architect, you will work with technology and business teams to help drive the secure evolution of our organisation. You will work with various stakeholders to provide security advisory and assist them in understanding the severity of the security risks and remediation activities. You will validate security controls against Macquarie’s cyber security standards and industry cybersecurity framework, document and report security assessment results, and review Macquarie’s security capabilities. Further to this you will provide recommendations, and uplift our security capability and improve security posture of the organisation.

What you offer

  • 3+ years experience in Cyber Security consulting, architecture or IT auditing roles
  • Strong security engineering background
  • Familiarity and experience in security best practices, formal security architecture aspects, including logical and physical security architecture/design
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in designing security solutions, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, vulnerability management, and secure application development is valuable
  • Experience working with public cloud, containers, Kubernetes and related technologies is valuable
  • Familiarity and exposure to regulatory requirements, the evolving threat landscape, and industry standard frameworks including, but not limited to, NIST, COBIT, and ISO is highly regarded
  • Industry recognised qualifications such as SABSA, CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, SANS certification, CEH, OSCP and cloud platform certifications are valuable.
