What role will you play?

In this role you will act as a subject matter expert in the review of market risk practices across Commodities and Global Markets and other Macquarie businesses. You will assess controls, analyse risk frameworks, and share insights that support strong market risk management. You will work closely with teams across the organisation to understand emerging risks and contribute to effective audit planning.

What you offer

  • Strong knowledge of market risk management, including value at risk, sensitivities, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
  • Experience with commodities trading and its related market risk drivers.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
  • Ability to analyse complex trading strategies and risk models.
  • Data analytics background preferred, with experience in data analysis and mining tools/languages and visualisation technologies
  • Five years of experience in market risk or a front-office risk role within a global markets environment or as a market risk subject matter expert within Internal Audit.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline is required and professional certifications (e.g. FRM, CFA, ACA) preferred.
