Join as a member of the Financial Control team, where the team support the delivery of end-to-end financial control for Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services business which includes products such as Personal Banking, Business Banking, Payments and Deposits and Wealth.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will lead a team of finance professionals and take responsibility for managing business balance sheet and profit and loss activities, including General Ledger close processes. You will ensure financial accuracy, apply key controls and judgements, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. You will provide technical accounting support for new business initiatives, implement and monitor the financial control framework, and drive process improvements and automation to build a scalable finance function that supports our Banking and Financial Services strategy.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Strong technical accounting expertise and/or experience working in large, operationally complex environments
  • A curious mindset, demonstrated by your willingness to challenge existing processes and continuously seek opportunities to learn and improve
  • Prior experience in financial services, bringing valuable industry knowledge to the role
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of motivating and developing teams to achieve outstanding results.
