Join the Financial Control team, where the team support the delivery of key financial control activities for Macquarie’s Banking and Financial Services business which includes products such as Personal Banking, Business Banking, Payments and Deposits and Wealth. This immersive and fast paced role will give you the chance to work closely with recognised experts in their field, both with our external auditors and across the organisation.

What role will you play?

You’ll work closely with external auditors and internal stakeholders to coordinate the financial statements audit process throughout the year, including support and review of audit procedures and requirements as well as preparing information and presentation packs. As part of your role, you will also support risk and controls activities across Financial Control in Banking and Financial Services. In this role, you will build strong relationships with stakeholders and support assessments of the quality and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance systems. You’ll collaborate with the broader finance team and controls team across the Group.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A curious mindset, demonstrated by your willingness to challenge existing processes and continuously seek opportunities to learn and improve
  • Prior experience in a comparable audit or financial control role, with experience with audits or engagements
  • Experience with retail banking products is valuable.
