The mission of the CTIR team is to enable Macquarie to operate safely within a challenging digital environment by detecting, investigating and responding to advanced cyber threats. CTIR is made up of functional teams including cyber threat defence analysts, cyber threat intelligence analysts, detection engineers and incident responders, among others. We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead our global Telemetry and Analytics Practice. You will sit within our Technology and Innovation team and act as a platform and product owner for our TIP, SIEM and UEBA platforms. You will be a strong leader with a desire to be hands on – leading infrastructure engineers and application developers to manage, design, integrate and develop these platforms. You will also be working closely with threat intelligence analysts, threat detection engineers, and incident respondents in CTIR.

What you offer

  • 10+ years’ experience developing, integrating, configuring, and managing platforms (ideally TIP, SIEM and / or UEBA). This includes monitoring and addressing system performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability challenges
  • Experience leading highly skilled engineers
  • Experience developing and deploying infrastructure-as-code and configuration management solutions, such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible, to automate operational tasks and improve platform reliability
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that integrate security controls and support continuous delivery of detection and response capabilities
  • Experience administering containerisation technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes, in production environments
  • Proficient in at least one scripting / programming languages, such as Python or Shell
  • Hands-on expertise in DevOps, incident management, root cause analysis, and production support, preferably working with Linux-based systems
  • Ability to plan and deliver to challenging timelines, managing stakeholder expectations in the process and experience working in an Agile environment is valuable
  • Excellent listening and influencing skills, and flexibility to develop strong relationships with a complex set of global stakeholders from working with users and analysts, to managing vendors.
