Macquarie Capital’s Frankfurt Debt Advisory team provides complex financing and capital solutions across multiple sectors within the DACH region. As an Analyst, you will work closely with financial sponsors, corporates and entrepreneurs on high profile debt transactions, and join a collaborative, fast paced team that values innovation, high quality execution, and professional growth.

What role will you play?

As a member of the Debt Advisory team, which forms part of the broader M&A team within Macquarie Capital, you will work on debt advisory mandates and collaborate with the M&A team to execute lender education processes for sell-side processes and arrange financings for buy-side mandates. You will also have the opportunity to work on principal investment transactions where Macquarie employs its own balance sheet.
Your responsibilities will include preparing financial models and pitchbooks. In addition, you will work with our senior team to execute opportunities, supporting all marketing and transaction execution activities, with a strong emphasis on financial analysis.
The Debt Advisory team covers all sectors but currently has a strong focus on digital infrastructure (fibre and data centers) and energy transition (generation, storage, distribution and transmission grids for fuels and electricity). The team has a high deal flow, providing you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience from day one.

What you offer

  • Up to 1 year of relevant experience in corporate finance advisory, debt advisory, private credit, transaction services, or leveraged finance
  • Strong academic background in business, economics, finance, engineering, or related fields
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a solid understanding of financial concepts
  • Fluency in German and English
