Join the Enterprise division within Macquarie Asset Management as an Executive in the Fund Management team, supporting our Real Assets division. Our Fund Management team are the key business partners covering the middle office function for our real assets products, including the finance, treasury, operations, investor relations and valuations. The Sydney Fund Management team support are infrastructure, agriculture and real estate, with dedicated investment professionals aligned to each class.

What role will you play?

You will have various responsibilities including transaction support for new deals/funds, management of transaction financial close and post-close matters and ongoing finance operations. This will include setting up fund administrator services and tax consultants, supervising SPV level accounting and audits, and working closely with the asset level finance teams on periodic reporting cycles. As part of your role, you will also oversee investor, management, lender and compliance reporting obligations, and manage technical accounting decisions internally (for fund reporting) and externally with the auditors (as needed). You will assess and implement strategic opportunities to drive value by optimising practices, data flows and technology platforms, including the adoption of AI. You will also support the valuation processes for various funds and products, as well as portfolio company valuations and delivery of portfolio analytics/commercial insights to senior investment leads.

What you offer

  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in the financial services industry in a finance related role, ideally fund management
  • Qualified chartered accountant, with an ability to understand complex structures and transactions
  • Ambitious with excellent communication skills and the ability to drive change and influence stakeholders on different levels
  • Ability to work well under pressure, partnered with organisational skills enabling you to manage multiple deadlines with limited supervision and direction.
