We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us in our Strategy, Practices & Innovation (SPI) team within the Internal Audit Division. Joining our team means you will play a critical part delivering high-quality reporting to senior stakeholders and regulators, operational support to audit team members and data driven insights.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will apply strong analytical capability and meticulous attention to detail to improve how audit data, reporting, and processes are managed. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, guiding a team member, resolving escalations, and shaping how senior leaders use data to drive insights for the Macquarie Group Board. You will also play a key role in delivering high quality regulatory and senior management reporting while supporting continuous improvement across audit operations.

  • Post graduate degree (MBA, CA) with at least 7 years’ experience in senior level reporting, regulatory engagement, and operational support within financial services; Internal Audit experience is advantageous.
  • Highly analytical with data driven mindset, with the ability to interrogate information, identify anomalies, and draw meaningful insights; experience with tools such as PowerBI or Alteryx is an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail coupled with the ability to step back, identify themes, and assess broader business impacts.
  • Curious with demonstrative experience in process improvement initiatives; comfortable challenging existing processes, investigating root causes, and enhancing data and reporting practices.
  • Experience working in regulated or governance focused environments, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, lead others, balance competing priorities, and maintain high quality outcomes under pressure.

The Internal Audit Division provides independent and objective risk-based assurance on the effectiveness of Macquarie’s risk management framework. Our global team conducts risk-based reviews focused on the effective operation of controls and governance processes, identifying insights through innovation and critical thinking.
