Our Enterprise Data Platforms team manages Macquarie’s Corporate Data Hub, supporting a wide range of data needs across the organisation. We enable teams to leverage trusted data for analytics, reporting, and operational insights, helping them make informed decisions and drive meaningful outcomes.

What role will you play?

As a Principal Engineer within our Enterprise Data Platforms team, you will lead the delivery of key platform capabilities that strengthen and advance our Corporate Data Hub. You will shape technical roadmaps, guide architectural decisions, and ensure the platform remains resilient, stable, and fit for purpose. Your work will involve partnering with teams across the organisation, exploring emerging technologies, and embedding best practices in automation, monitoring, and platform engineering. You will also play an important role in fostering a collaborative and supportive engineering culture.

What you offer

  • Extensive experience in Cloud/Data/Platform Engineering roles, including time spent leading technical delivery within enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in AWS cloud technologies, container orchestration, and Big Data processing tools such as Spark or Presto.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and experience working within Agile and modern engineering environments.
  • Deep understanding of architectural principles, with the ability to guide technical decisions and build alignment across diverse teams.
  • A proactive approach to enhancing platform stability, performance, and cost efficiency, alongside excellent communication and mentoring skills.
