Our Banking and Financial Services Treasury team in Sydney plays a pivotal role in managing funding, liquidity, interest rate risk, capital, provisioning, and risk modelling for the division. We work collaboratively across the business, partnering with product, credit risk, regulatory data, and technology teams, as well as central Risk Management and Financial Management functions. Our focus is on delivering insightful analysis and robust reporting to support commercial decision-making and regulatory compliance.

What role will you play?

In this role you will oversee the calculation and reporting of regulatory capital and credit loss provisions across our Banking and Financial Services products. You will engage with a variety of stakeholders to deliver monthly, quarterly and annual analysis that is accurate, clear and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will also translate complex data into meaningful insights for senior leaders, apply strategic thinking to business opportunities, balancing commercial outcomes with risk considerations and contribute to the overall strategy of the bank. You will lead, coach and develop a high performing team. This position offers opportunities to expand your expertise in capital, provisions, and loss modelling within a dynamic and supportive environment.

What you offer

  • Relevant qualifications in business, accounting, finance, quantitative disciplines or a similar field
  • 7+ years of experience in credit risk or financial reporting, including regulatory capital and credit loss provisioning
  • Strong data analysis and coding skills, including tools such as R or SQL
  • The ability to review large datasets and explain complex information in clear, simple language
  • Strong judgement, attention to detail and the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels
